The Rock Facility

In July 2014, RVC swung open its doors and hosted the Club's inaugural tryouts at American Academy Charter School in Parker, CO. As we grew, we transitioned in 2019 from operating out of the two American Academy Campuses on Motsenbocker and Lincoln Meadows to a 13,000 sq ft facility with three courts just down the road. Now, five years later and a decade into our journey, we are thrilled to unveil our brand-new 40,000 sq ft facility in Castle Rock, aptly named "THE ROCK."

The Rock Facility is the ultimate hub for all things volleyball, designed for enthusiasts of all ages and home to Relentless Volleyball Club. But our vision reaches far beyond club association; we're on a mission to become the premier volleyball venue in Colorado for athletes of every age group.

Dedicated to supporting the Castle Rock community and promoting USAV and RMR, The Rock also hosts AAU and JVA events. We understand that clear and transparent pricing is essential. Our prices have risen since last season due to two key factors: relocating to a significantly larger facility and our new commitment to limiting team rosters to 10 players. Despite the increase, our pricing remains highly competitive compared to our peers

We prioritize making families and players feel confident in their decision to join the RVC Family. Our goal is transparency, providing comprehensive information upfront—from contract terms and conditions to costs, coaching staff, and practice schedules. This ensures you know exactly what to expect from RVC, avoiding any surprises on signing day...

Once you receive your offer, be prepared to complete the registration process promptly to secure your spot. Please note that offers are non-binding, and spots are only considered reserved once they are accepted, countersigned by RVC, and the initial payment is received.

Official contracts will be emailed to the address you provided, and will be sent on:

  • July 22nd at 10am for returning RVC players
  • July 23rd at 10am for new players.

If you are expecting an offer and don't receive one be sure to check your spam or contact us and let us know. The email will contain a link that will give you access to review and accept your offer.

CONTRACT OFFERS ARE TIME SENSITIVE. Returning RVC Members have a deadline to accept their contracts by 3pm on July 22nd. For new players, there is not a definitive time window; however, we recommend accepting your offer promptly. Holding back to see what other offers you receive could result in your spot being taken, rendering your offer null and void. To avoid any disappointment, it’s crucial to make your decision swiftly and secure your place within the RVC family as soon as possible.

  • Returning RVC Family - Offers sent, 10am July 22nd
    • Deadline to accept: 3pm July 22nd
  • New Players - Offers sent, 10am July 23rd
    • Deadline to accept is at the discretion of RVC

Below is an example of the contract you will receive in your offer. The only difference between our contracts is the number of trips teams are contracted to attend. Other than that they are all identical. Your official offer will outline the number of trips your team is scheduled to attend.

FINANCIAL OBLIGATION

By accepting, I acknowledge and agree that it is my intent for my daughter to play for RVC during the entire 2023-2024 Season. I understand that by accepting the offer I am legally obligated to pay the FULL contractual amount based on the level of membership and payment plan I select during the registration process. I understand that the first installment is non-refundable and is due at the time of signing and is required to secure a reserve spot on the team for my daughter at the time of acceptance through the team registration process.

I understand that my daughter may be able to move up in the program if the opportunity becomes available. I also acknowledge that my accepting and agreeing to this contract is not predicated on any conditions outside this document.  By accepting I also agree to pay according to the payment plan I select and the schedule set forth by the Club.

Please note, your offer/position is Time Sensitive. Delay in accepting your offer may result in your spot being filled and your offer becoming null and void.

Your offer is not secure until your offer is accepted and payment has been paid.

Payment of Fees

It is my daughter’s desire and intent to play with RVC for the entire 2024-2025 Season.  I understand that my daughter’s acceptance of the position offered obligates me to pay the required club registration membership fees.  I expressly acknowledge and agree to this full amount as a contractual obligation regardless of whether my daughter voluntarily leaves, is injured for the remainder of the season, or is suspended or expelled from RVC prior to the end of the 2024-2025 Season.

Payments plans and schedule of fees are contingent upon the plan I select during the Club Registration process and may vary from what is noted in the contract.

Late/Non-Payment of Fees

If payment is not received by the 20th of the month, the player will be ineligible to participate in practices and games until payment due is tendered in full. NOTE: Any payments made later then the 20th of the month will be subject to a $50 late fee.

RVC has a no-pay, no-play policy. This means failure to fulfill your financial obligations (including travel expenses) to RVC, according to the contract and payment option selected, can result in a player’s playing privileges being suspended, and can include being suspended from attending practices, Powers, and tournament play.

If there are multiple players from one family, the entire family balance must be paid or the amount is then transferred to any remaining players within the family on the hold list.  Any leftover balance past July 1st of 2025 may be turned into collections and/or small claims court. In the event the account is assigned for collection, the account holder (parent) is responsible for all costs of collection including, but not limited to, the collection fees, attorney fees and court costs. 

Fundraising

Each player has the option to fundraise to defray any expenses. All funds collected to cover these expenses will be deposited in your Individual Players RVC Account – not a team account. These funds remain with RVC should the player leave the club and are not available for cash withdrawal at any point. All fundraising money collected can be used towards anything within the RVC walls: extra uniform or practice gear, fan gear apparel, dues, travel, lessons, or camps. No one is required to fundraise during the season, it is up to each individual to do as much or as little fundraising as they would like.

Coaching Decisions

I understand that my daughter may be moved up or down teams during the course of the season (within USAV age definition rules) including but not limited to; player performance, player attitude, and team need.  This decision is at the discretion of RVC.  I understand that this is in the sole and absolute discretion of RVC, and that in doing so, it does not relieve me of my legal and contractual obligation to pay any dues owed to RVC.

Playing Time

RVC competes at a Competitive level, and there is NO guarantee of playing time during the season. Players are expected to earn their playing time through hard-work at practice, or extra time outside of practice through lessons by a RVC coach. I understand that I do not pay for my daughter’s playing time, but rather for the training that the player receives through practices/training.

We agree to the following about how to handle any issues we may have about playing time during the season:

  • The player needs to approach their coach and ask, “What do I need to do to get more play time?”

24hr. Rule

RVC has a 24-hour rule when talking with coaches or any RVC staff at ANY Power or Tournament. This is in place to protect coaches, players and parents from unnecessary problems. Parents are required to refrain from talking with any coach or RVC Staff about playing time issues, coaching issues, etc. during this 24-hour period. When in a competitive setting and if emotions are high, things can escalate quickly and easily, and then the conversation is not going to be productive. This does not mean you cannot talk to the coach, just that you must wait to discuss things about play until at least 24 hours after the tournament is over.  

Communication is considered to be in person, by phone, text messages and emails. This is a widely-used practice among volleyball programs and is suggested to us by USA Volleyball. Failure to follow this rule may result in your daughter’s inability to play on the court at the next scheduled event. This rule is to not be taken lightly, and is considered to be a serious topic for RVC.

Grievance Policy

We agree to follow RVC’s rule on how to handle issues we may have during the season. If we are having any issues we feel should be brought to the attention of the coach or RVC Administration, we will use the following as a stepping stool to do so:

  • With regard to issues with other parents, we will first talk with the coach. If it still does not get resolved, we will contact Ericka
  • For issues with coaches, we will contact Ericka
  • For issues with other players, we will first talk with the coach. If it does not get resolved, we will then contact Ericka

Consent to Photography and Imaging

We give RVC express and written consent to release and/or reproduce images that may be taken of my child during the course of the season. These images may appear in future promotional materials or on the RVC website. These images may also be made available to consenting players and their families, as well as to participating teams, for purchase. We further release RVC from any and all liability and waive all rights and claims connected to publication, display, copyright, and distribution of any photographic images.

Communication Policy

We understand that it is our responsibility to review any and all information distributed through the RVC Website, RVC App and RVC Newsletters. We will check email regularly for updates and information from RVC and its staff. Failure to comply with any policies, rules or procedures promulgated and made available through these means of communication does not constitute a proper excuse for failing to comply.

Player's Code of Ethics

By participating on an RVC team, I agree I will engage in the following behavior:

• I will encourage good sportsmanship from fellow players, coaches, officials and parents at all times. I will always remember that volleyball is an opportunity to learn and have fun.

• I deserve to play in an environment that is free of drugs, tobacco and alcohol: and expect everyone to refrain from their use at all volleyball training and matches.

• I will do the best I can each day, remembering that all players have talents and weaknesses the same as I do.

• I will treat my coaches, other players and coaches, game officials, other administrators, and fans with respect at all times; regardless of race, sex, creed or abilities and I will expect to be treated accordingly.

• I will not curse at any time wearing RVC apparel, especially on the court.

• I will concentrate on playing volleyball, always giving my best effort.

• I will play by the rules at all times and will control my temper, resisting the temptation to retaliate.

• My conduct during competition towards play of the game and all officials shall be in accordance with appropriate behavior, and in adherence to RMR/USAV rules.

• I will not disparage others, including my teammates, coach and club, on any social media platform.

• While traveling, I will conduct myself so as to be a credit to myself, my team, and RVC.

• Alcohol, illegal drugs, tobacco products and unauthorized prescription drugs shall not be possessed, consumed or distributed before, during or after any game or at any time.

I understand and agree that if I/my daughter violates any of the above Player’s Code of Ethics, I/she may be subject to suspension or expulsion, at the sole discretion of RVC, and that I will not be entitled to a refund. 

Parent's Code of Ethics

By participating as a spectator at RVC, RMR, AAU, JVA and USAV Sanctioned events, I agree I will engage in the following behavior:

• I will encourage good sportsmanship by demonstrating positive support for all players, coaches, game officials, and administrators at all times.

• I will support the coaches, officials, and administrators working with my child, in order to encourage a positive and enjoyable experience for all.

• I will remember that the game is for the players, not for the adults.

• I will ask my child to treat other players, coaches, game officials, administrators, and fans with respect.

• I will always be positive.

• I will always allow the coach to be the only coach, by refraining from coaching from the sidelines, as it only confuses the players on the court.

• I will not enter into arguments with the other team’s parents, players, or coaches.

• I will not enter the court for any reason during the game.

• I will not criticize game officials, before, during or after the game.

• Alcohol, illegal drugs, tobacco products and unauthorized prescription drugs shall not be possessed, consumed or distributed before, during, after the game or at any other time at the court.

I understand my failure to comply may result in the suspension of my/my daughter’s privilege to participate in RMR/USAV sanctioned events.

I understand and agree that if RVC is charged at any time by the RMR for my actions, or the actions of anyone in my family, or by anyone who attends an RMR event on behalf of my daughter, then I am responsible for paying back RVC for the full amount of the fee within 20 days of the offense.

Termination

Should I or my daughter wish to be released, I understand that I will be required to fulfill all financial obligations noted above, including the travel expenses expected for the out-of-state tournaments so the extra cost does not get passed on to the rest of the team. If this is not completed, my daughter will be placed on the RMR hold list and prevented from playing from any other club in the future until it is paid in full and/or the account will be turned over to a collection agency or smalls claims court if it is not paid by July 1st, 2025.

This is subject to exception for a season ending injury.  The injury must be assessed by a medical professional and presented with a signed note. The “season ending injury” must have occurred during a RVC practice, RMR Power/Tournament, Crossroads, or any other travel tournament. Importantly, I will still be required to pay any remaining dues, and will only be exempt from the travel expenses agreed to above.

Responsibilities and Obligation

I understand that RVC will take reasonable steps to provide a safe, fun and instructional environment for the Members of the club to participate in and play the game of volleyball.

Notwithstanding, we understand that there are some inherent risks associated with playing competitive sports and agree to hold harmless RVC Inc., its Directors, Coaches and Training Staff in the event of an injury.

Informed Consent

It is expressly agreed that the use of the RVC Facility, or satellite locations and/or participation in RVC sponsored activities or events shall be undertaken by a member at their sole risk, and RVC shall not be held liable for any injuries or any damage to any member or property arising from participation in the activity or event or transportation to or from the activity or event, whether or not caused in whole or in part by the negligence of the RVC.

RVC shall not be responsible or liable to members for articles damaged, lost or stolen in or about the Club area or for loss or damages to any property including but not limited to automobiles and the contents thereof.

Express Agreement to All Club Rules, Policies, and Procedures

I understand the rules, policies and procedures contained herein are not fully inclusive. Amendments to the Club rules and regulations may be made from time to time.

UPON ACCEPTANCE OF THIS AGREEMENT BY THE CLUB, I/WE HEREBY AGREE AND ACCEPT THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS STATED THROUGHOUT THIS CONTRACT. I/WE SIGN THIS FREELY AND VOLUNTARILY WITHOUT ANY INDUCEMENT.

We further agree we are of sound mind, and acknowledge we have been provided with an opportunity to obtain independent legal advice with respect to this agreement, and that we either:

(i). Had such independent legal advice prior to executing this agreement, or;

(ii). Willingly chosen not to obtain such advice and to execute this agreement without having obtained such advice.

Waiver & Release

IN CONSIDERATION of being allowed to participate in any way in the program, related events and activities of RVC, I understand, acknowledge, appreciate and agree that:

1. The risk of injury from the activities involved in this program is significant, including the potential for permanent paralysis and death, and while particular rules, equipment and personal discipline may reduce this risk, the risk of serious injury does exist and,

2. I KNOWINGLY AND FREELY ASSUME ALL SUCH RISKS, both known and unknown, EVEN IF ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES or others, and assume full responsibility for my participation; and,

3. I willingly agree to comply with the stated and customary terms and conditions for participation. If, however, I observe any unusual significant hazard during my presence or participation, I will remove myself from participation and bring such to the attention of the nearest staff immediately and,

4. I, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, assigns, personal representatives and next of kin, HEREBY RELEASE, INDEMNIFY, AND HOLD HARMLESS RVC, its owners, coaches, trainers, officials, agents and/or employees, other participants, sponsoring agencies, sponsors, advertisers, and if applicable, owners and lessors of premises used to conduct the event (RELEASEES), WITH RESPECT TO ANY AND ALL INJURY, DISABILITY, DEATH, or loss or damage to person or property, WHETHER ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES OR OTHERWISE, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

I HAVE READ THIS RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK AGREEMENT, FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS TERMS, UNDERSTAND THAT I HAVE GIVEN UP SUBSTANTIAL RIGHTS BY ACCEPTING IT, AND SIGN IT FREELY AND VOLUNTARILY WITHOUT ANY INDUCEMENT.

This is to certify that I, as parent/guardian with legal responsibility for this participant, do consent and agree to his/her release as provided above of all the Releases, and for myself, my heirs, assigns, and next of kin, I release and agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Releasees from any and all liability incidents to my minor child’s involvement or participation in these programs as provided above, EVEN IF ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES, to the fullest extent permitted by law

End of RMR Regular Season and Open Recruiting Period For all ages, the end of the RMR Regular Season is May 1st, 2024. While some teams may continue on to the USAV Girls Junior National Championship, the competitive season for most athletes, teams, coaches, and clubs has concluded. All athletes, regardless of their teams continuing to compete, are considered free agents at this time. The open recruiting period extends through tryouts until an athlete has signed a contract with a club.

Teams that compete in any USAV event and compete in events offered by other organizations are bound by all RMR/USAV rules. Teams that violate any RMR/USAV rule are subject to disqualification and sanctions.

Following the end of the Regular Season:

  • Athletes can initiate contact with any coach or club.
  • Athletes can attend camps, clinics, lessons, evaluations, and pre-tryout activities.
  • Clubs can host camps, clinics, lessons, evaluations, and pre-tryout activities.
  • Clubs can initiate contact with the parent or guardian of any athlete in accordance with SafeSport.
  • Clubs can give written or verbal offers. Written or verbal offers are not binding or contingent in any way.
  • Clubs cannot distribute or gift athletes gear, apparel, or anything of monetary value as a result of any offer being extended, accepted, or otherwise.
  • Clubs cannot ask for nor accept deposits of any kind.
  • Clubs are encouraged to provide a sample contract for a parent or guardian to read through in advance of potentially signing with that specific club.
  • Recommended Tryout Period For the 24-25 season: clubs are recommended by the RMR to hold tryouts from July 14th, 2024 to July 21st, 2024. While some clubs may choose to hold “tryouts” at different dates, the RMR encourages clubs to hold their tryouts during this week to give athletes an opportunity to explore different clubs in a smaller window of time. The tryout period ends for an athlete once they have signed a contract. The tryout period ends for a team or club when they have no further spots to offer to prospective athletes.
  • During the tryout period:
  • All stipulations of the open recruiting period continue through the tryout period.
  • Clubs can determine if they will or will not charge for tryouts.
  • Contract Signing Period There are two different dates as it relates to the contract signing period.

GIRLS

Verbatim Per RMR Handbook

  • Any athlete returning to the same club that they were affiliated with the previous season can be offered and sign a contract starting on July 22nd, 2024 at 10:00 AM MST.
  • Any athlete, regardless of their affiliation the prior season, can be offered and sign a contract on July 23rd, 2024 at 10:00 AM MST.

BOYS

Verbatim Per RMR Handbook:

  • Retention Contracts: Clubs may send players that were affiliated with their club for the 2023-2024 season a binding contract for the 2024-2025 season starting at 10 am MST on July 26th.

  • New Player Contracts: Clubs may send players that were NOT affiliated with their club for the 2023-2024 season a binding contract for the 2024-2025 season starting at 10 am MST on July 29th.

During the contract signing period:

  • Contracts can be signed and countersigned by the athlete’s parent or guardian and the offering club. An athlete can not sign a contract, regardless of age.
  •  Clubs can ask for and accept deposits.
  • Clubs are encouraged to timestamp and date signed contracts. An example would be an email including all involved parties with a clear timestamp and date that includes the signed and countersigned contract.
  • Once a contract is signed, the athlete can not sign with another club for the 2024-2025 season unless a transfer is granted as outlined in the “RMR Transfer Policy”. You are recognized as being a member of that club once a contract is signed by both parties. This is in anticipation of the athlete being affiliated with the contracted club when USAV registration opens.
  • Any contracts signed prior to the contract signing period are null and void and subject to disciplinary actions by the RMR and USAV. Recruiting Violations If allegations of recruiting or undue influence are made against a team or club representative, the burden of proof in substantiated form must be borne by the accusing party. Anyone with direct knowledge of perceived recruiting violations should report the incident in writing to the RMR office immediately. Substantiated allegations of recruiting violations or undue influence will be processed by imposing the penalties established by the RMR Board of Directors.

While it's not mandatory or a prerequisite for team selection, gaining more exposure to RVC's coaching staff can significantly benefit a player.

Clubs can extend offers in writing or verbally. According to RMR guidelines, when we make verbal offers, we do so in good faith and with the intention of honoring them with contract extensions on signing day. However, there may be situations where verbal offers need to be retracted or modified. In such cases, we commit to full transparency and will promptly inform any affected player of any changes to their status. It's important to note that verbal offers are not legally binding..

Team Pricing & packages

With our rapid growth in numbers and our rise in both local and national rankings, we recognize the need to streamline our processes for the benefit of our families and athletes. This growth has been incredibly exciting, but it also brings new challenges that we are committed to addressing effectively. While we value our uniqueness and the special qualities each of our programs brings, some of our program names have led to confusion among our participants and their families. Therefore, after much consideration, we are retiring our "Clubhouse," "Determined," and "Unstoppable" membership branding to simplify things and make our offerings more straightforward.

Play Level Definitions

National / 1s

Our elite RVC teams embody the pinnacle of competitive volleyball. These teams commit to at least three out-of-state, multi-day travel tournaments and strive to excel at the highest levels within their age groups at all Rocky Mountain Region USAV and AAU sanctioned local tournaments. Tailored for advanced players with consistently outstanding volleyball skills and a fiercely competitive mindset, Relentless Teams also provide recruitment opportunities for collegiate play. Selection for this prestigious program requires both a tryout and an invitation to join the team.

Regional / 2s

This competitive level participates in two multi-day, out-of-state travel tournaments. Athletes also compete within their age group in Rocky Mountain Region USAV and AAU sanctioned local tournaments. Designed for players with consistent volleyball skills aiming to elevate their abilities, this program requires a tryout and selection process.

State / 3s

​Designed for proficient volleyball players with solid fundamental skills, these teams participate in one out-of-state, multi-day travel tournament. Players compete in local Rocky Mountain Region USAV and AAU sanctioned tournaments, focusing on skill development to prepare for future selection into our Regional and National teams. Participation in this program requires a tryout and selection process.

Local / 4s

​Our local teams aim to equip athletes with the skills necessary to excel at a more competitive level. Running from December to March, this program offers 3-5 local competition opportunities. Players on the team aspire to develop their skills to qualify for the Hustle or Grind Team next season. Additionally, this team caters to those who enjoy the sport without the significant time and financial commitments. Designed to foster a love for the game, these teams ensure ample playtime for all players, with a strong focus on skill development. Participation in this program requires a tryout and selection process.

Pricing Per Team

Our aim is to clarify our offerings while continuing to provide exceptional experiences for all our families and athletes. Our Grindstone Package is limited to 100 players, and is available Club-Wide. Due to limited capacity, availability is based on a first-come, first-served basis.

Our goal is to cultivate a close-knit, supportive team environment, where players bond and grow both on and off the court. Traveling together fosters stronger team chemistry and camaraderie, leading to better performance.

Additionally, our travel model ensures a safe, well-organized experience. We handle all travel arrangements and accommodations, allowing players to focus on their game instead of logistics.

It also gives parents the flexibility to choose whether to attend, freeing them from the burden of organizing and booking travel arrangements. They can simply relax and enjoy watching their athletes compete and when game play has concluded for the day, exploring the attractions of the remarkable cities where we will be playing.
